Dhaka, Dec 8 - Bangladesh beat
West Indies by 2 wickets in the
fifth match to win ODI series
3-2. BAN 221-8 in 44 overs, WI
217-10 in 48 overs.
The Prime Minister, who was in
the stands, was the first to
congratulate the team as the
Sher-e-Bangla stadium roared with
the winning boundary by Nasir
Hossain. The President, whose son
heads the Bangladesh Cricket
Board, quickly followed.
This is the first time Bangladesh
beat the mighty West Indies team
so comprehensively in an ODI
series having previously
whitewashed a much weaker
Caribbean team.
